GB Chiropractic
A chiropractic practice website helping patients explore services, prepare for their first visit and book appointments.
Overview
GB Chiropractic is a chiropractic practice in Griffith, New South Wales. Prospective patients need to understand its services, know what to expect at their first visit and find a way to contact the practice or book an appointment. I designed and built the website around these needs.
- Role: Freelance web designer and developer.
- Dates: September 2025 (initial build), with subsequent simplification during June–August 2026.
Technical contributions
1. Designing around patient needs
I organised the site around the questions someone might have before contacting the practice: what care is available, who they will see, how appointments work and where to go. Service information and a first-visit guide sit alongside the practitioner introduction and photographs of the clinic.
The responsive layouts keep booking, telephone, email, opening hours and directions prominent. Booking links take visitors to the practice’s PracSuite booking service.

Booking and contact options remain prominent on a narrow screen, with hours and directions available in the same section.
2. Supporting local discovery
The site needed to describe both the practice’s services and its location. I carried that information through the page content and metadata, added a sitemap and breadcrumbs, and connected the clinic, website and pages through structured data.
The visible contact details and structured data share the same address, telephone number and opening hours, keeping this information consistent for visitors and search engines.

Results for “chiropractor griffith nsw”, with personalisation disabled and Griffith NSW displayed as the search area. GB Chiropractic is the first organic website result visible in this capture and also appears in Places.
The selected 12-month Google Search Console report recorded approximately 1,050 search clicks and 8,410 impressions. For example, “chiropractor griffith” recorded 152 clicks and 1,248 impressions. These figures document people reaching the site through relevant local searches during the reported period.

The query report shows clicks from local service searches alongside searches for the practice by name, within the selected 12-month view.
3. Simplifying ongoing maintenance
I initially built the site with Payload CMS, but the client did not use its editing tools. During later maintenance, I simplified the setup to match the practice’s actual editing needs and remove unnecessary CMS and database maintenance.
I moved practice and page information into typed TypeScript data and article content into local MDX, then removed the CMS and database dependencies. I also stored prepared WebP sizes with the site so browsers can select a suitable image without an image-processing service.
The trade-off is that content changes now require a repository update and deployment. The patient-facing pages and booking links remain, with fewer infrastructure dependencies to maintain.
Outcome
I delivered a website that helps prospective patients understand the practice and continue to booking, with recorded traffic from relevant local searches. Reviewing how the client used the site also led to a simpler implementation with fewer infrastructure dependencies to maintain.
